GIS & Remote sensing specialist - Lecturer/Researcher at ITC, University of Twente
I am an Italian-Argentinean geographer, born and raised in Argentina, graduated from the University of El Salvador in Buenos Aires. I got my MSc in Geo-Information for Natural Resources Management from the Faculty of Geo-Information Science and Earth Observation (ITC) of the University of Twente. I successfully defended my theses on satellite-based insurance for livestock early in 2017 and from that moment on I am working full time as a lecturer/researcher at the Department of Natural Resources of the Faculty.
A passionate of my profession, I have completely dedicated the last years to my field of study and particularly Geographic Information Systems, developing and modeling different ways to apply these fabulous software and techniques to the understanding and management of different geographical spaces and topics: from social problems related to accessibility to education facilities to crop identification or production estimation. In this sense, I would like to grow even further, expand my knowledge and find new and innovative ways of making the most of geomatics in different fields, focusing especially on developing innovative mapping techniques and exploiting quantitative spatial analysis methods to retrieve valuable information from different spatial datasets.
I have an excellent educational background which is marked by Cum Laude diplomas for both my BSc and my MSc degrees. Also, I have vast experience both as a researcher and consultant geographer on GIS and remote sensing as well as good expertise in developing teaching material and delivering training courses in international environments.
Furthermore, I am fluent in English, French and my native Spanish and have a fair knowledge of the Dutch language (Diploma B2).
Living in The Netherlands now since 2015, I am open to moving to Canada if an interesting job opportunity arises.
Please review my enclosed resume for further details on my qualifications. If my profile interests you, I would welcome the chance to discuss the matter further.
Thank you very much for your time and consideration.
