Terra is an international mapping company specializing in the acquisition, analyses, and production of spatial data. We offer world-class expertise in digital airborne mapping, hydrographic charting, marine geophysics, and GIS support services.
Terra is seeking a bright and eager LiDAR Mapping Technician to assist with the processing of LiDAR data. The position starts immediately and will be for a period of 6 to 9 months. Training will be provided. Candidates should have a minimum of 24 hours per week available to work and able to work evening shifts. Hours for this position will vary based both on client deliverables and the availability of the successful candidate. This role is suited to a student or recent graduate with some familiarity of LiDAR data and is looking for experience in the geomatics domain.
Reporting to the Supervisor, LiDAR, the successful candidate is responsible for:
Processing, analyzing and preparing LiDAR data for QA/QC.
Assisting with LiDAR and overall QA/QC (specific to data delivery preparation) process compliance and improvement initiatives, as required.
Related undergraduate degree or related diploma in progress or completed.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to use an organized and methodical approach to work efficiently with multiple formats of data simultaneously. Keen attention to detail is a must.
A valid and clear criminal record check is required.
Salary will commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.
