We currently have an opening for versatile, energetic, and creative GIS Developer. This role will develop and support GIS-related applications, including Survalent’s GIS Wizard, which is a data conversion and validation tool. The GIS developer will report to the team lead. The purpose of this role is to develop, enhance and maintain Survalent’s GIS Wizard application. This successful incumbent will focus on existing customers and conduct enhancements.

The successful candidate must have:GIS Developer

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field
  • Strong knowledge of object oriented design concepts
  • Strong knowledge of GIS principles
  • Strong knowledge and experience in developing with C#, WPF using MVVM design pattern
  • Experience in Multi-Threading/Asynchronous Techniques: Async/Await
  • 2-3 years’ experience with either of the following:

** ESRI desktop product, ArcGIS Engine development
** Experience with Intergraph GeoMedia product
** The following skills and experience is an asset: ADMS: SCADA, OMS and DMS, MVC and Web API, Angular 2 and up, Node.js, experience with InstallShield.
