The Geomatics Canada Scholarship Program Funded by GeoConnections and Geomatics Canada and administered annually by the Canadian Institute of Geomatics (CIG), this scholarship was created to assist students enrolled in a post secondary institution in the field of Geomatics.

In October 2002, the program was expanded to include four (4) graduate level University Scholarships of $2,500, eight (8) undergraduate level University Scholarships of $2,000 and eight (8) College/Technical Institute Scholarships of $1,500 awarded annually and distributed throughout the geomatics disciplines.

The Canadian Institute of Geomatics will also present each of the scholarship winners with a complimentary one-year student membership which includes a subscription to Geomatica. The scholarships shall be made to students in good standing, registered full time, in a recognized university, technical institute or community college, in Canada. Students must be Canadian citizens or landed immigrants.
