Assistant/Associate Professor in Geomatics Engineering

The Department of Geomatics Engineering, in the Schulich School of Engineering at the University of Calgary, invites applications for the position of Assistant/Associate Professor (tenure-track), effective September 1, 2012.

Applicants must have a PhD in geomatics engineering or equivalent, and have demonstrated research excellence in digital imaging or satellite geodesy. The successful applicant will be expected to develop a strong research program and to attract external funding for these activities and graduate student support. The successful applicant must also have the capability and the flexibility to teach at all levels of the Geomatics Engineering program, including common-core engineering courses. If the successful candidate is not registered as a Professional Engineer in Canada, she/he will be required to register as a Professional Engineer in the Province of Alberta within two years of initial appointment.

The Department of Geomatics Engineering is actively involved in all aspects of geomatics engineering and has 18 faculty members, some 140 graduate students, and more than 50 students in each year of the undergraduate program.
